Mahabaleshwar Tour Plan

Mahabaleshwar Tour - India

Mahabaleshwar is a hill station in the western ghat region which is situated from 140 kms in distance from Pune city. We have visited here in July 2021.

When To Visit:

Generally, Monsoon is the best for visiting these places. June to September is considered good time travel.

How to Reach:

Nearest airport is PUNE (PNQ) from the airport you can travel by car which will take arounds 3-3.5 hours. There are bus services available from Pune as well which departs from Hinjewadi (Wakad bus terminal)

We have stayed 2 nights 3 days in a beautiful cottage named Krishna cottage 😃

Day 1:

We started from Pune in the morning around 9:30 to catch bus which about start around 10:30 from Wakad but due to heavy rain bus started 2 hours late. Well no problem as this happens while you are on trip. After 4 hours of journey with break in between we reached Mahabaleshwar in the evening and checked into the MTDC resort.

The resort is full of trees and jungles making a thrilling experience with rains throughout night.

                                        Horse riding at Panchagani Tabletop

Day 2:

Today we had to go for sightseeing. After breakfast with bread and upma we started the day. I forgot to mention this is the first trip of our junior 😃. Today we visited Elphinstone Point, Venna Lake, Strawberry farm, Panchagani, Aurther's Point, Tabletop at Panchagani etc.
Also, I along with my little experience horse walk in the Panchagani tabletop.

With refreshing mind, we returned t resort in the evening. If you come in between October to February, you can see all the farms are full of strawberries.

Day 3:

Today we had to return to Pune. We had no plan for today apart from starting my office while travelling in cab. It was a sort and effective break from your daily life. If you are around Pune or Mumbai or nearby you can plan such refreshing break.
